My boyfriend thought of collaging his guitar with black-and-white WWII photos from some old books he has, so I cut and glued them on. The photos cover the enitre surface of the guitar body, and we used strange black-and-white clippings from an old witchcraft book to cover the pickguard and provide an interesting contrast. About 12 hours of work went into this, and it turned out looking really neat. After an extra coat of decoupage, the clippings haven't chipped or come off after several months of use.
If anyone wants their guitar collaged, I'll do it. Haha. Email me at morgandonor@sbcglobal.net if you're interested.
My boyfriend's band is Oh Boy! Oh Boy! Commander. Check it out, it's awesome stuff. [link]
The graphics are from two different sources... the whole thing is covered with WWII photos from an old book, and the pickguard is covered with pictures from some weird old book of demons, haha.
what did you use to stick these pictures on?
